Voting over!

The elections are over! It seems the old Liaisons were all re-elected by a pretty hefty margin.

Looking at the detailed results shows by just how large a margin. CAGreywolf has 174 votes! More sobering is MY numbers, though :P Only 43 votes. Guess I'd better get campaigning for the next election.

Regardless, I think this is a good choice. Only the old Liaisons have the experience to lead us to the new Restoration. I do hope they do more things and try to push the DRC a bit harder to get some more info from them.

Voting Ends!

Saturday is the last day for everyone to vote for the DRC liaisons. Link.

The managers of UruVote say they only got 259 people to vote. If I remember right, there were 700 something people voting last time. I'm betting this is because of the Authorized Explorer program taking up too much of their time, but I hope this isn't going to be a trend going into the rebirth of the Restoration.

On a more personal note. . . Still no sign of Arthur. I saw him once on the KI in Eder Gira but he disappeared.

So, for the time being (until Arthur decides to return), I will be handling any and all information regarding Phil Henderson's supposed death, anything to do with Douglas Sharper, and Dr. Watson's disappearence.

The DRC Liaison Election has started!

Voting is unweighted this time around. So simply go to the site, click on the Vote button next to the candidates you want to vote for (including mine :P), fill in a working e-mail and submit. Then confirm your vote through the e-mail.

Candidate Meeting aftermath

Both meetings went really well. Logs of the meetings are here (for the afternoon meeting) and here (for the night meeting).

Both meetings had pretty good attendance. Most of the old Liaisons (Vortmax, Graywolf, Gadren) were present at the first meeting and had some good insight on how they felt about their time as Liaisons. It's important to point out, though, that the new Liaisons will have more of a demand on them (and the ones that come after this will have the toughest time, setting the stage for what we can expect for the rest of the Restoration). The first meeting was dominated mainly by the question "What's a Liaison?" I think it was asked. . . four times? Five? Probably because new people kept coming in. Regardless, it was good, and the rest of the meeting was pretty much the Liaisons trying to help out the new candidates with what to expect. Which was pretty much anything. Despite all of us linking out and coming back, we still did a small bit of the meeting near the end where Vortmax told us about his experiences and how he's worked with being a Liaison.

Then the second meeting. This was dominated by some good talk about the past election, the community, the many forums, and how the Liaisons work (of course with defacto question #1 "What's a Liaison?"). I really liked the second meeting. We skipped a lot of the introductions and some of the preamble of the earlier meeting and went straight into questions that were really good, and in many case really hard. All in all it was an amazing meeting and I look forward to doing more of these meetings as a Liaison.

DRC Liaison Candidate Meetings

Just a small announcement. If anyone wants to meet me or any of the other candidates who might show up, there will be two meetings with the DRC Liaisons candidates on Wednesday the 18th (tomorrow). The times:

Wednesday - October 18 - 05:00:00pm EDT (03:00:00pm MDT as listed in your KI)
Wednesday - October 18 - 09:00:00pm EDT (07:00:00pm MDT as listed in your KI)

It will take place on the circular balcony (the one with the Nexus design) overlooking the canyon by the Great Stairs.

Depending on surface issues, I may come late to the 5pm meeting (5:30-ish), but come on out and ask questions, or just sit and watch, get to know the candidates so you can make an informed decision! Shorah.

Going Up

Heading to the surface for a few weeks to get a lot of supplies. Also a chance to get out of the empty cavern. It's fairly depressing when you walk through the City and the hoods and they're all empty. Oh well. Let's hope more people show up when the Restoration opens, or this'll be doomed just like before.

Edit: I'm back down after I got word that Arthur is back. He's apparently been talking to a few friends at the UO hood. If anyone sees him, please tell him to get in contact with me any way he can. We have work to do down here and I'd like him to be availible when the cavern opens again.

Came down to the caverns tonight... So quiet... DRC hard at work..

I found something on Arthur. An e-mail sent from his KI. With just the words ".kehnehn gor" and the number "1:33" Gor is D'ni for time.. perhaps he'll return at 1:33?
