Sped down to the cavern as soon as I could after I got an e-mail stating that Rand Miller would be appearing in the Cavern! I'm glad I'm finally able to see some of the stuff the DRC's been working on these past few months. Felt really good to see so many people in the cavern! Over eighty in the DRC's neighborhood and maybe twenty or so in the other major hoods I went to. The big thing was the City. Rand didn't show up there apparently because he was worried about the hundred thirty plus crowd there.
The cavern really felt alive tonight, really felt like we were close to starting something big. In contrast with what the cavern is normally, dead. Quiet.
Looking forward to December..

Happy Thanksgiving
Had a quick Thanksgiving-esque meal yesterday with Arthur in the Cavern, then we both went off to join our families on the surface. Great time was had by all up here, though we'll have to figure out what went wrong with the cranberry sauce. It looks like I'm going to be staying on the surface for a few more days to spend time with my family before heading back. I'm feeling better now. Seems whatever I had was just some 24-hour bug or something.
Hope everyone had a Rahm Chevteedotahg! (I hope I got the translation right)

Back down for Thanksgiving. Got all the stuff on the list with the exception of some of the materials I'll need for further projects. Those I'll have to get on future runs.
I talked to Arthur after I got back. It seems fairly obvious that he took the Journey, but he stops short of saying THAT. I'm interested in getting back to working with him to get some answers to the Cavern's puzzles. He seems like he still needs some more time, but I've filled him in with what's been happening recently.
I've also come down with something while I was on the surface (this is the explaination for the many large containers of orange juice in your Relto, Arthur).

Supply Run
With the Cavern officially opening up within a month, and with Thanksgiving almost around the corner, I'm heading to the surface for a large supply run. I haven't been able to get in contact with Arthur since he reappeared; so if he reads this and thinks of something for me to get, email it to me. Check the list on the imager first.
This also will give me a chance to get away from the cavern for a bit. I'll still keep in touch by the forums, though... The Cavern's been dead again after it seemed so lively recently. I think almost everyone's left. Making room for the Res Engs to do their work, I assume.
Shorah,

All Together Now
Just got back from Spoken Word Night #31. Arthur showed up at the event. He told me nothing about his experience, just that he was back. He was pretty odd the rest of the night.. must have spent a bit too long in Teledahn? Or maybe Kemo, I know he has some bad allergies to those puffers.
With this new development, I guess this is a good time as any to ask once again that anyone with information about Phil Henderson's disappearance to please contact Arthur or myself. Arthur will be dealing with most of the investigation.
In cavern news, the Liaisons met with the DRC tonight (logs might be up, I haven't checked). The DRC doesn't have any replacement for Sharper regarding Teledahn (I think, I know they don't have a replacement for Sharper).
After the meeting, who should come to the City but Dr. Ikuro Kodama himself! He didn't speak, but seemed to vanish from the City. I can only assume he hit a Lattice bug and decided not to return. Still, the City just seems that little bit more alive tonight than normal.
Peace. Whilyam.

Back to Racing
It seems the rumor of the DRC toasting the Great Tree's jackets was just a rumor. They (I assume) still have absolutely no idea where they are, but we at least know they haven't been fried... yet. Though as one poster said, setting fire to some jackets; while still hostile, is fairly low compared to what the DRC could do (strip access, perform ritual sacrifices, send attack cones).
Finally getting back to trying to get answers from the DRC about a few things. First was about the jacket rumor. Second, I'm seeing if the DRC will tell us what their plan is for Teledahn (considering Sharper is nowhere to be seen).

Chestnuts roasting over an open jacket?
This is questionable to me unless Ashtar can produce his secret source, but it's not something I'd doubt about the DRC. Regardless of your opinion on Sharper, some of the things they did were not fair to the Explorers (taking Sharper off the pub in J'taeri, etc.). While obviously Sharper was doing some bad stuff (stealing books and other property of the DRC) It was nothing the DRC could have prevented had they gotten some people to actually report on Sharper and his activities. What's more alarming was the source's line "Where's your hero now?" Refering to Sharper.
Let's hope the Liaisons talk to the DRC at their next meeting about this. Who knows, maybe it was an honest mistake or something.
"Look, Marie got confused between the DRC crate labeled "kindling" and "Great Tree Jackets."

Wonder what happened to all the bickering on the DRC forum about the Liaisons? Don't fret. It was just a bit late getting there. People bashing others, pointing fingers, showing problems, no solutions, major errors, questions, questions, questions. It makes me wonder. Why I didn't leave there before.
People have left, I know. I wish they hadn't but they did. Now I see people ripping them apart, questioning them, scrutinizing them with a flawed magnifying lens, asking them why they should be listened to, shoving their abandonment of the forum in their noses. Why? What possible good comes from this? If anything we should listen more to these people. Those that were disillusioned, who had left in disgust from the process. That they've come back from the brink is the greatest show of love for this community then I have ever known.
And yet we punish them, pick at them, make sure they never forget how they failed us.
Perhaps I'm looking too seriously at this. I feel frustrated. Frustrated at the DRC for their silence in this time of need, for their appalling apathy in the process THEY started. Frustrated at those who left, who abandoned the community they had been with for over two years even without the DRC. Frustrated at the community for their disgusting posts and for letting such abusive posts go without any reaction.
